Berry Smoothie Bowl

Smoothie bowls should be made more often. It’s a great snack, dessert, or breakfast option. The main difference between a smoothie bowl and a smoothie is that the first has a thicker texture and it is similar to the one of yoghurt or ice cream, so you eat it with the spoon instead of sipping it.

Sometimes I miss finding this creamy consistency in natural and healthy options. I used to each too much dairy and my body is so much better now that I don’t consume it. I haven’t had diary in two years and I feel absolutely great !!

However ariety is the most important thing to stay on track and not feel deprived. Plus they are very easy to prepare. The key ingredient is that some of your fruit should be frozen, ideally the bananas that create the reamy texture.

Recipe:

  • 2 frozen bananas
  • 1/2 cup of frozen blueberries
  • 1/2 cup of  fresh strawberries
  • 1/4 cup of almond milk (unsweetened) or coconut milk

Place all the ingredients in a high speed blender. Mix throughly, serve in a bowl, and top with your favourite superfoods. I used mulberries, bananas, blueberries, and kiwi. Enjoy !
